Compositions in Spoken Word

In honor of National Poetry Month, here are six original spoken word pieces written by either Jerry Gormley or me from the Dark Hollow catalog, each running approximately a minute or so with a musical soundtrack created expressly for that piece. Dark Hollow has worked just as much in poetry, prose and dramatic monologue/dialogue as it has in songs, so this is just a sampling of such material. While most of the tracks below were recorded during the 1990s, “Winter Sketch #7” was completed in 2024. All music is performed by Dark Hollow; recitations are by Jerry, except for the last track.
